The Saudi city of Jeddah will host the inaugural Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia in November 2021.
The global event will witness the participation of the world's best drivers and manufacturers, and will compete on the streets of Jeddah in an amazing night race.
According to the official website, the race, the first of its kind in a long-standing partnership between Formula 1 and the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, will be held on the Jeddah Corniche, which extends along the banks of the Red Sea, providing a stunning coastal backdrop.
Formula 1 Chairman and CEO Chase Carey said: “Saudi Arabia has become a center of sport and entertainment after hosting many major events in recent years, and we are very pleased that Formula 1 will participate there starting next season
He added: Hosting is very important to us, given that 70% of the population of Saudi Arabia is under the age of thirty, we are excited about the possibility of reaching new fans and bringing our current fans around the world to exciting races from an amazing historical site.
